Helping your business to groWWW!
about

Multimedia and interactive design

In some instances, a website needs components that provide an additional level of interactivity and engagement. Altima is able to help you with this as we are experts in developing Flash games, creating animated elements, and producing online video and audio.

Historically, these elements took lengthy wait times to load fully and were considered a ‘frustrating’ part of a website. But as bandwidth has increased significantly over the years, this issues is now redundant any many businesses see the benefits they can produce to fulfill a business objective.

A couple of examples of our work in this field:

website for sport protection equipment supplier  (work done under sub-contract) Online video portfolio was a core part of this project, as it was developed for a TV commercial production company

Flash animation

There are two reasons to use Flash on web sites:

Branding – Flash provides a completely flexible solution that allows the ‘feel’ and ‘emotion’ of a brand to be expressed in a site effectively.

A few examples of Flash sites we have developed for this purpose include:

  • Fashion clothes retailer web site (opening scene and the clothes worn by people are dynamic and change dependant on the season)

Functional – Static websites cannot produce the same functionality as flash/RIA (rich internet application) websites.

Here are a couple of samples of this from our portfolio:

  • Website for premium residential complex. The site contains a virtual tour that allows prospect tenants/buyers to visit a virtual model of the property

  • Web site dedicated to Paul McCartney concert in Kiev, with interactive map of Ukraine, where every fan can upload his/her text, photo or video greeting to other Beetles lovers:

Flash can also be used for non-website purposes such as interactive postcards, screensavers or CD/DVD presentations.

Flash games

Online games, usually developed with Adobe Flash, can not only profitable standalone projects, but are also often used to engage users with a company, product or brand online.

Altima has experience with such projects. Below are a few examples that illustrate this:

  • Web site for US gaming machines manufacturer and supplier. The site contains an online bingo game developed in Flash (work done under sub-contract);

  • Online memory game (with brand names as elements of a matrix) for an online clothing retailer;

  • Flash game for new Samsung phone promotion (used on plasma screen during exhibition
